Adolescent Literacy Program
The HANAC Adolescent Literacy Program follows an approach that integrates the Common Core curriculum with project based learning for participants who scored well below their grade level on the English Language Arts exam.

Beacon - Astoria IS 141 The Steinway School
The HANAC Astoria Beacon, which is funded by the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) services 1050 participants a year from ages 6 and up. Programming is designed to assist participants acquire the skills and attitudes they need to graduate from high school, succeed in their chosen career, and give back to the community.

The HANAC Corona Beacon, which is funded by the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) services 1,200 participants a year from ages 6 and up. Programming is designed to assist participants acquire the skills and attitudes they need to graduate from high school, succeed in their chosen career, and give back to the community.

The HANAC Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) exposes teens and young adults to real life work experiences and to real world labor expectations while building work readiness skills and a foundation for future employability.
