East West Connection Transportation

SENIOR PROGRAMS

Since 1984, we have been providing transportation services that allow seniors the ability to live independently and lead productive lives. Our success has led to the growth of the program to include 9 vans, with 6 scheduled routes and provides over 38,000 one-way trips annually with over 1,100 registered clients in seven Community Districts in Queens County.

Programming and Services

Van Service
This service is for transportation to and from senior centers, group trips are coordinated by senior centers such as food shopping, malls, shopping centers, local banking, voting, walking clubs and social events. Van contributions are $1.00 each way.
Car Service
This service is available for individuals requiring transportation for medical appointments only at 50% of the cost. The requirements for this service includes:
- Clients 60 and older
- Physically or geographically unable to use public transportatio
*Medicaid clients are not eligible for this service
*When applying for this service, there will be a waiting list.
